CMPO's announcement of 06/03/2014

At 13:00 hrs. Mr.Tharit Pengdit, Director General, Department of
Special Investigation, briefed the press on the outcome of the meeting
of the Center For Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) earlier in the
day, gist as follows:

1. The CMPO wished to inform that the board of immigration has decided
to revoke Mr. Satish Sehgal's residential permit. Mr. Sehgal's actions
violated an emergency decree and were harmful to the public safety.
The director of the CMPO has signed an order to abrogate Mr.Seagal's
residential permit and the immigration bureau will proceed on Mr.
Seagal's deportation.

2. Following recent assault and beaten of Mr.Yuem Nillar, who was
taken by the PDRC guards from Lumpini Park, detained at a rally site,
before beaten and thrown into the Bang Pakong river, the CMPO wished
to express its sadness and condemn on such violent and inhumanity
behavior. Mr. Yuem who was only carrying the United Front of Democracy
Against Dictatorship (UDD) card, such alleged acts have raised on
concern on security and hatred within the Thai society. The CMPO will
investigate on the case and proceed with legal action against PDRC
guards involved.

3. The CMPO feels relieve that the Constitution Court has delivered a
clear explanation yesterday, indicating that only public protest is
defined as a legitimate peaceful gathering. In case of the PDRC's
leaders engage in any act that violate civil and criminal law, they
will be subjected for legal prosecution. The PDRC leaders therefore
cannot refer to the Constitution Court's ruling as they have
previously done.
